I'm assuming that you're talking about Camp Thunder in Georgia?
We went there a few years ago, had a great time, were treated like
royalty, stayed at their canoe base a mile or so down the road and were
given a bus to transport ourselves back and forth for the week. I
couldn't ask for a better camp to stay at.
The program was good as was the staff. It seemed like they had all
their i's dotted and t's crossed in a Scout manner. Food was okay as
well, although could have had a bit more to eat at each meal but nobody
left the dining facility hungry. This was balanced out by being allowed
to stay at the Lawhorne Canoe Base 'cause they didn't have enough room
at the time for us on the regular camp property. (It was a very busy
week.) This gave us unforeseen advantages - washing machines w/dryers
next to us with BEAUTIFUL bathroom facilities for men AND women in the
same building. Great pavilions in each camp site. Great trails along
the Flint River, a canoing trip AND tubing trip down the Flint.
A wonderful time all around. I highly recommend it!!
