I've noticed over the past 5-6 years some of the changes in Boys Life.
I was a 60's Scout and Explorer and received each copy of BL with
delight. When my son (and I) started Tigers so long ago, I noticed the
differences. Recently PeeWee Reese even went the route of "Bonkers"
Nickalondian style animation graphics.
(Sigh). Ok a sign of the times maybe, but the reference to Whittlin'
Jim reminded me that I do seem to recall plenty of good stuff from Green
Bar Bill (always the first "article" I read - thought it was amazing
that some kid was that sharp and seemed to be talking directly to
me...), an illustrated cooking or camping tip, and something more along
the lines of another outdoor tip or two (pioneering knot of the

previous experience (yeah that's a little better) or have certain gems
slipped away that might do the program well if enough Ol' Goat and
Rocking Chair Patrol members suggested their re-instatement?
