Request for Ancient Slide Pattern

Okay all you "old coots" who are the repository of that vast expanse of
usless, yet "interesting" scouting lore.....you know, you folks who've
dedicated so many brain cells to scouting trivia and memories that they
walk around drooling and muttering..."be prepared...trustworthy..powell"
and so forth...Here's a brain buster for you:
I've taken up my old scoutmaster's habit of hand-carving an eagle
neckerchief slide for each of our new Eagle scouts. I remember that my old
SM gave me a choice of two patterns. One was the standard design
(outstretched wings, shield on the chest) but the other was an eagle that
was in a pose of "diving for a kill" (wings up high, talons down - like he
was just about to snatch a rabbit).
I'm sure both of these patterns came from Boy's Life and from Ben Hunt or
Whittlin' Jim. I can't seem to locate the latter pattern. I have access to
quite a few boxes of old Boy's Life mags. Any suggestions as to which
issue it might have appeared in?
Thanks in advance for any help offered....hope I didn't disturb that
pleasant reverie you were in! :-) Email me privately....can't think of
anyone else who'd really be interested!
