Scouts-L Mail Archive for October of 1998: overnight policy for Cubs, men, and women?
overnight policy for Cubs,men,and women?

I have a question regarding the BSA policy on overnight activities with the
Cub Scouts. I know that the BSA requires Cubs to be escorted by at least
one parent or guardian on an overnight campout. But what is the policy, if
any, regarding women and men and Cubs sleeping in the same "room"?
You see, our Pack is planning an overnight camp-out on a submarine, the USS
Pampanito in San Francisco. The submarine has 48 bunks available for group
members to sleep; thirty-six (36) bunks in the Crew's Quarters and twelve
(12) bunks in the Officers' Quarters.
Please let me know if there is a policy regarding this issue.
Thanks in advance!
