That is the flip side of "aluminum pots won't season." That's my problem
with them. Seasoning is natural teflon. I can wipe my iron ovens clean with
paper towels, and wipe them with oil, and they're ready for the next time.
A little water boiled in them will loosen anything from a seasoned oven --
such as egg or the residue of hamburgers, either of which will initially
stick to anything.
Aluminum on the other hand does not behave so well; it is like home
cookware when it comes to scorch and such on the bottom, and steel wool
As for the 'oil,' I prefer bacon grease or olive oil for best results.
