You mention both plexiglass and fiberglass. Plexiglass (acrylic plastic)
would be a very poor material. It's very brittle. Unless it is very
thick (and heavy) it'll break the first time a Cub gets within 10 feet of
Fiberglass could work if it had enough thickness to make it rigid. The
cost, as compared to plywood would be very high, though. My
recommendation would be to stay with the time-proven wood.
