Mmm, I don't think so. Not to reinforce my image as a bomb-throwing
radical, but just what, exactly, are they going to *do* to a unit that
*doesn't* comply with their policy? De-charter you? Fat chance!
I think some sort of guideline is a good idea, and certainly they have
the absolute right to determine whether *they* link to *you,* but I'm
not sure what grounds they might have to object to a link *to* them. In
particular, I think the right to display the council patch (and other
BSA symbols) goes with your charter, as long as used in an appropriate
manner. Frankly, I'd view the "requirements" merely as a guideline, and
let your common sense be your guide, rather than some pre-cooked
(half-baked?) council policy.
