My parents owned property in the Sangre De Cristo mountians when I was a
kid. We spent almost every weekend there.
I would recommend a place near Westcliffe, Colorado. Its absolutely
beautiful there. There is a state park, small ski resort, and tons of
other goodies. The Royal Gorge is close by and relatively close to the
south is the Sand Dunes National Park.
