I agree that the Sierra Nevada Mts. do provide a great adventure
(I've done several segments of the John Muir trail, and gone in and
out of Yosemite several times). I am not sure you could call the
Sierras "untouched" any more, however, considering how crowded they
are becoming, and how hard it is getting to get a wilderness permit
I do recommend the area for any troop looking for an adventure camp.
We will be going (probably in the area around the Rae Lakes Basin) in
