I'm curious as to what other BSA Troops count as a "troop/patrol activity
(other than troop/patrol meetings)" for purposes of Second and First Class
requirements. Do you count any meeting other than the regular weekly
meeting (i.e. group service projects, Eagle Courts of Honor, CS Pack
bridging ceremonies, etc.), or do you count only monthly outings (overnight
Service projects, Courts of Honor, or anytime the troop or patrol gathers
for a PLANNED activity. Keep in mind that some of the troop/patrol
activities must include camping overnight. One or two members of a troop
attending a pack Blue and Gold wouldn't count, but an entire patrol
attending would. Likewise, a patrol planning a bike trip through a local
park would count just as much as a patrol planning and going to a movie
together. The operative words are "troop/patrol", which suggests planning on
the part of the troop or patrol.
