Well Paul, your vision has come true. Here, at least, in Santa Fe Trail
Council, the move to have email connections from the unit to the CE is
there. The CE has his own computer complete with I-net access. He
handles a great deal of his business via the internet. He emails the
Council Pres, Council Comissioner, the DE's, several DC's and on down
the line. He has handle patches for various events. He has commented to
me that the internet is doing him a wealth of good. Any Unit leader with
Inet access can email their DE, the secretaries in the office and the CE
at anytime. The CE even has an ICQ number.
Also as being webmaster, I finaly got online registration for council
events set up on our website. This way even the furthest person from our
council office can instantly register for an event. I have an
interactive calendar that any voluteer or professional can enter an
event and make a mini web page for it.
And I am just getting rolling. I am sure there are others that are
further along than I am.
