Excuse me if I have misunderstood this post, but if I haven't it is not
If a Troop elects one or more youths to the OA, the Troop Committee may
NOMINATE an adult Scouter. Basis of nomination is the potential future
service that the adult may be expected to provide to the OA. Council
reviews all adult nominations and then approves or disapproves them on a
case-by-case basis. Since Posts no longer elect youths, they cannot
I have in the OA (originally as a youth) since 1964. Until recently,
adults were elected by the Troop/Post Committee at the same time that
the youths were electing their candidates; but at no time in my memory
have the youths elected the adults.
