Reminds me of a horror story I heard a few years ago from another SM.
Parents had refused to sign medical release/health form. Kid broke arm on
campout. Hospital ER would not treat kid, even so much as a pain reliever,
until parents showed up (2 hour drive) to OK it in person.
I'm not criticizing the hospital. But if we don't have the proper paperwork
we're opening the door to not only a possible lawsuit but the possibility of
a kid going through more pain than he needs to.
