When I wrote about the President I had no intention of starting any
heated political debate. Clearly some of my information was wrong and I
have read the corrections. Some of the corrections I was entirely unaware
about (bombing, presidents attendabce at Jamborees) which is why I asked
I do want to make the point however, aside from all political
attachments, that no matter what the given situation, there is ALWAYS
(Caps. just emphasis) a good side which as Scouts we cannot deny. This
applies to ALL situations a person will encounter. As Scouts no matter
how difficult we must at least try to find the good in it.
Let there be NO mistake I am NOT condoning Clinton's improper relations I
am saying that aside from this, Clinton has done some good (albeit hard
to find in some situations). Just remember to look for the good before
discounting the person.
As far as removing Clinton from the position as Honorary President I
think it might be the office and not the man but this is just an opinion.
I am sorry if I have offended or angered ANY person. This was truly not
my intent. It was only to say that regardless of the situation we should
look for the good and see if we can find it.
Always in Scouting
