Where's MY safe haven?

Every imaginable media outlet is covering the President's disgressions.
We are bombarded by horrific stories, pornographic "referrals",
reporters who, in lieu of a real story, report on what other reporters
are reporting on, and hosts of other sordid details I don't want to
hear. We can't escape from it on the television, radio, newspapers and
magazines, and even the pulpit on Sunday morning.
This forum should be the one place I can escape from this national media
obsession. Yes, I too, am saddened by the news that our President
wasn't strong enough to overcome his urges. And I'm deeply disappointed
in him. But we all must overcome our own urges to vent on this list.
This is not the place to discuss personal failings or politics. Many of
us are involved in Scouting because we truly believe that Scouting
should be a safe haven. Safe from hypocrites, safe from extremists on
either side of politics, safe from the ongoing rantings and ravings
about sexual activities that are none of my business, and safe from
postings that call for changes in the National Charter that are just
thinly disguised attacks on the President.
This is the last you'll hear from me on this subject. If anyone feels
the need to flame me, please do so privately. I probably won't respond,
but this list doesn't need anymore of this non scouting garbage.
Yours in the true spirit of Scouting,
