I am sorry for my comments. I should have done like I usually do and
remained in the shadows, instead of voicing my opinion.
However, thanks to Jim Moss & CR10@aol.com, and some research on my own,
> Before you "short of knowledge-long on opinion" guys get started. 1. > This is not the place. 2. By law, not by honor is the President is
> the head of the BSA. Check the federal charter.

You are correct, I AM STILL short on knowledge and long on opinion, even
though a friend & I have done some research. But isn't Scouts-L a forum
asking for each others opinions?
Jim is correct that the President of the United States is by federal
charter the Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America.
However, there are procedures that would allow us to change the terms of
our Federal Charter, including who serves as the Honorary President of
the B.S.A. It would be a long & arduos process, just getting through
all of the regulations (for a a lay-person). And, when the next
President takes office, he/she will be a better example for our Scouts
So rather than waste time I could be spending with my Scouts, I will
work even harder to convince my Scouts to forgive our President and move
I SPOKE TOO QUICKLY, WHICH I REGRET ALREADY.
