Let us not forget that as Scouts we are supposed to be cheerful and in
doing so we should look at the bright side of things. Yes President
Clinton has done some questionable things but what about the good things
he has done. He has improved the economy, assisted with the peace process
and attempted a balanced budget amendment. Also in 1997 President Clinton
was the first President since Franklin Roosevelt to make an appearance at
the National Jamboree.
I have no desire to turn this into a political debate nor am I in any way
shape or form saying that the bad things Clinton has done are excusable
or proper because they aren't. But I am trying to point out that in all
situations there is a good side and jumping to act on the bad parts
without considering the good can lead to problems later on.
One final note: some of my information could very well be wrong and
corrections would be appreciated.
Just my two cents (or dollars).
