leaders versus trainers

I would recommend using good trainers. Scouters who have
been through the Train the Trainer course, for example.
There you are taught the importance of preparation,
presentation and keeping on schedule. When I went through
the course, we had some good trainers and one good leader.
He was inspirational to listen to but got us off schedule,
tended to ramble on got us running late. He had a lot of
tossed salad on his uniform (lots of knots above the left
pocket). Luckily, we all were willing to give up the
afternoon break to catch up on time. So use good trainers
who prepare themselves with the course, have good visual
aids and handouts and keep on schedule. You learned more
from good teaching skills, didn't you? Even in Wood Badge,
we had excellent instructors. I do not know anything of
their leadership skills. It was their teaching skills that
