Sharon: In our dens we've been having the boys get khaki shirts in
Webelos when they have outgrown their blue one. I kept my sons blue
shirts intact as they were when they moved from Bears to Webelos. I
either bought or kept old badges from shirts I've purchased for the
Uniform Bank so I did not have to move the badges. Forget the
arrowpoints! They tend to get ravelly (sp) after washing and while they
can be removed, they don't look so good!
A couple of the moms got their sons new shirts when they earned their
Webelos badge, even if their son had not outgrown the blue shirt.
Part of the move to khaki has to do with the availability of larger size
blue shirts. I find smaller blue shirts at the Thrift Stores
occassionally. I've never found a khaki shirt in any size, but
occassionally find an older style olive colored one (no collars). You
rarely find a blue shirt bigger than 10-12. So for these big boys we end
up buying khaki shirts.
Hope that helps.
