Taking the stove and the fuel bottles on the airplane are illegal. If you
appear to be a backpacker they will ask you if you have any fuel bottles or
stoves. I have been allowed to take bottles and stoves that where brand new
and still in the box. Otherwise the confiscate them.
Take the lids off and allow them to sit out in the sun for a week. Pack
them in a box with the lids off and mail them out or ship by UPS. I FedExp
mine ahead all the time.
