About the long pants issue for the Wood Badge course that Branden raised,
my only experience is in Cub Trainers Wood Badge.
I was fortunate enough to be part of SR-CS-10 that was offered in August
last year in New Orleans. The participant package that I received stated
pants and shorts.
Our course director informed us that long pants would be necessary for
the opening ceremony each day. We could change after the flag ceremony, if
we so chose.
After the second day, he announced that due to the extreme heat, shorts would
be acceptable for flag ceremony.
It was a great course, super staff and wonderful experience. There are
things that were done that may have seemed "nit-picking" if left to
ponder too long. By the end of the week, they made sense.
I have used some of those same techniques with great success at Roundtables.
just my 2 cents.
