For what it's worth, here's my 2 cents.
If the Cubmaster selection process for this Pack was typical,
nobody wanted the job. The woman should be praised for being
willing to volunteer, and those complaining should have volunteered
to do the job instead of complaining about the only person willing
to do it. On the flip side, my Wood Badge course taught the
principle of "setting the example", and the Scout Oath challenges
me to be "morally straight". Also, if I understand the process
correctly, the Chartering Organization (or Rep.) is responsible to
select the Unit Leader for Packs, Troops, and Posts. The Committee
Chair and Organizational Representative both have to sign the
Adult application of any registered leader. Bottom line, the sign-up
process should force an evaluation of the fitness of any leader -
that's what the references are for. So, if there is a problem here,
more than one person is at fault, and it sounds like the Pack has
more problems than just a stripper for a Cubmaster.
