that positions Scouting as a form of youth ministry with appropriate

In my own troop, I like to think of the work that we do as an extension
of the youth ministry program in my church. I did convince the parish
council to transfer Scouting out of the Recreation Apostolate. I'm
trying to change the image of Scouting in the minds of our parish
and parents so that they not put us on the same level as little league
and such. If they see us as doing important work, we may receive
better support from parents. I also want to raise our visibility so that
the parish council will make sure that future SM and CC in the troop
will have a similar vision of Scouting as youth ministry.
