Well, the new Guide to Safe Scouting is out. Copyright 1998. It says,
"All forms of hazing, initiations, ridiclue, or inappropriate teasing are
prohibited and should not be allowed."" This new statement seems to settle
some of the discussions on this matter.
The Guide has a lot of changes. So for everyone who fails to follow the
new rules are enacted tighting our programs even more.
So, since the OA ordeal is clearly an initiation (even though it may be a
positive one) is that outlawed?
As has been stated by many others, this clears up nothing ...
