Good books to read

There's a new book out that some of you may want to take a look at:
Gurian, Michael A fine young man : what parents, mentors and educators
can do to shape adolescent boys into exceptional men.
published by Tarcher/Putman, 1998.
I haven't been able to do more than take a look at it yet but it follows
his: "The Wonder of Boys" which was published a couple of years ago.
I am reading the first one and there's some great stuff in it.
Unfortunately, he doesn't say anything about the Scouting program which
would seem to fit right in with how he thinks boys should be raised.
Anyway, check it out at your local Library or bookstore.
And there's another one I've recently read which was very interesting:
Rules of civility : the 110 precepts that guided our first
president in war and peace / edited and with commentary by
New York : Free Press, c1997.
It was fun to read because of the old-fashioned language but still full of
