I think I'll sit back and let others handle "official" responses on this
one, but I'd like to note I've seen plenty of OA elections that go fine -=
almost totally as one would expect or even hope. My guess is that specif=
situations need to be addressed rather than the process as a whole?
With respect to the respondant who noted "We all know..even if we wont
admit it....that the elections are a farce, and only the popular kids get=
in." Excuse me, but you can scratch that "WE" part. In SOME cases yes
this is true (and I'm sorry for your own situation) but "I" will assure y=
it is not a total farce and I personally do not believe a majority case
farce. I applaud the concept but once again suggest specific situations
need to be addressed...
Besides, unless someone can convince me that our national political
elections actually elect the most qualified individuals, should we really=
expect the scouts to do better? Perhaps they will learn from the process=
and be better citizens and more informed voters as adults?
