I have the right to forbid you to use that form of punishment on my son =
so does every other parent. The Scouts are not military recruits and =
leaders are not DIs. It is not our place to say, "Drop and give me 10!" =
personal opinion is that physical punishment, such as push ups, is a cop
out. We should be able to lead by example and positive reinforcement, =
by "putting the fear of god" into them. YMMV
