The first session of my Scoutmastership Fundimentals training class was
on St Patrick's Day. When we signed in, we were eacb given a blank name
tag and a randomly selected colored felt-tipped pen with which to write
on them. Then we were divided into patrols according to the color of
ink on our name tags.
Since my patrol was the one with the green ink and because it was St
Patrick's Day we named ourselves the Leprechaun Patrol. We made
medallions for the rest of the training sessions by cutting out and
laminating leprechauns from St Patrick's Day party decorations and then
pinning them to our uniform sleeves.
