As a new District Membership Chair, I have been asked to put on a Rally
training session for Packs in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Each pack will conduct a Rally to invite boys to join their Pack.
My questions to the group are:
Is their a syllabus for this training?
What sort of goodies and handouts do you share with the trainees?
What sort of methods have been successful in recruiting adults at
And anything else you can add to make this a worthwhile training session
for Pack Leaders conducting School Night Rallys.
BTW, just came back from Summer Camp at H.Roe Bartle Scout Reservation
(Camp Piercing Arrow) in the Heart of America Council in Missouri.
The Troop was there for their second year and everyone had a great time.
Good program, good food, Great facilities, and a great background in the
Tribe of Micosay, that keeps staff and scouts and scouters coming back
year after year.
My son (turned 11 the fifth day) experienced the homesickness blues.
(Seems to be contagious). But, came back with 5 merit badges and passed
his Second Class Court of Honor while there.I think the Troop (boys)
will elect to attend next summer.
