Condolence Cards for Fallen Scouts/Scouters

I was wondering....
Is there a way in place for us to announce the death of a Scout or
Scouter, so that Scouts from around the country or the world can send
cards and letters of support and comfort to the family and the Unit?
The times I've been at memorials for a Scout or Scouter, such an
outpouring of support from fellow Scouts who never even knew them is
often very warming for the family.
I wasn't sure that some families would want their acutal address put out
on the e-mail, so I was wondering about alternatives:
1) Send the address of the family out. (Downside, they may get some
unsolicited or unwanted mail also)
2) Send out the address of the funeral home. (Downside, it may not be
known, or they may charge the family extra for the service especially if
a lot of mail comes in.)
3) Send out an address for the unit. (Downside, the Cubmaster or
Scoutmaster gets deluged with the mail.)
4) Send the address for the local Council office and let them deliver
them. (Downside, how quickly do we get ANYTHING from the local
