Yeh, my suggestion is to make a really big deal out of it! This is your
chance to thank the Chartered Organization, and frankly, to bank some
good will for the future.
Since your CO is a church, they probably won't want you to take a lot
of time from the service, but you can do a meaningful presentation in
just a minute or two. What they're doing is important! Let them know
Your Unit Commissioner should have some ideas for Charter presentations.
If you don't have one, or don't know who it is, call your District
Commissioner. I can't speak for yours, of course, but I would be happy
to make a presentation for a brand new unit. That way, someone is
representing BSA, which actually grants the Charter.
