Hello folks, we have a problem and I need your suggestions for help. Our
scout camp, Pine Ridge Scout Reservation, has had it's lease run out quite a
while ago, and we are in negotiations for renewal. In the meantime, there
is logging beginning next (and I mean right next) to the camp. This is the
end of our week-long day camp, and they're knocking at the back door. We've
got a mini-Webelos camp planned for mid-July, and we're afraid they'll be
logging in the camp before that time, leaving their mess and road ruts.
We've got trees galore with blue blazes marked on them, probably nine out of
every ten trees are marked, all throughout the park. We're short on time,
people, and knowledge, so any help you can give us would be welcome. Yes,
we're going to call our representatives, etc, and other important persons.
What else do you suggest!
This is extremely important to us, so we welcome your knowledge! We're in
