When we went to PHilmont last year, most of the boys and adults
took along their folding aluminum chairs. After many miles
on the trail they were a welcome relief...much better than
rocks, logs, or the ground.
On a more routine basis, when we have a campfire, the boys
will want and usually find something to sit on. They will
drag in rocks, logs, etc. I do believe it is kinder on the
environment and easier to restore the campsite if they
have their own chairs.
