We never had a rule prohibiting Scouts from bringing a stool or folding chair.
We actually helped the boys build their own as a troop project. They aren't
real complicated, requiring only a heavy piece of canvas (or leather) and a
little bit of lumber. If all the Scouts have the opportunity to make them
(the troop provided the materials) why would you deny them the chance to bring
