The Scoutmaster should never assign positions UNLESS it is a new troop.
Sit in your rocking chair (remember woodbadge). Provisions should only
be made in the case of illness or handicap.

I have helped many scouts (We could have as many as 12 this year)achieve
Eagle in my 22 years as a scout leader. However, some scouts want every
thing handed to them. I am NOT going to hand them the eagle rank. Eagle
is NOT the patch, it is the person!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So far I have only had to turn down two scouts. I hate it, but it
no matter what I do or say to encourge the scout in the right way.

A conference between the SPL and SM should solve the problem.
The program should be BOY run.

I's too bad if you have a problem with this. I do not bend the rules
when it comes to being qualified as an Eagle Scout.
