Take a 3 0r 5 gallon plastic bucket that has a snap on lid [ Unuslly
available in the bakery section of your supermarket] and cut a hole in the
center of the lid a little bigger than the diameter of the handle of a NEW
toilet plunger. In the rubber part of the plunger drill or cut a few small
holes to let the water pass through and to keep plunger from sticking to
the bottom of the pail. Use a plunger with a plastic handle.
A step fancier is to get a Gamma Seal Lid at the hardware store. It has a
ring that snaps on the rim and a center section that screws out. They are
a LOT easier to use. Also get a rubber gasket thing to cover the edge or
the cut out hole in the lid. It keeps the plunger handle from getting torn
up by contact with the edge of the lid.
