Uniform costs help the professional retirement accounts. The average
profession needs a retirement account, the trouble is they will probably
be filtered out in favor of younger, more naive people before even
coming close to retirement age.
Many of the National people are making 6 figure incomes, clearly putting
them into the top 10% of Americans, while the membership has dropped in
half in the past 25 years under their "leadership".
Low income youth don't have a prayer of being Scouts, because the BSA
doesn't allow used uniform banks anymore like they encouraged for the
first 50 years.
The volunteers are blindly letting it happen.
Don't worry, be happy, and just follow the rules.
