As far as places to camp in your area, your local Order of the Arrow
Lodge should have a Where to Go Camping Guide that it makes available to
all the BSA troops. It probably lists all the State and National forests
and parks with contact persons and phone numbers and addresses. They are
often grouped "how long it takes to get there" categories. Call your
Scout Office to get the name of the Lodge Cheif to get one of these for
you. It will be start. The Lodge may be willing to assist you in adding
the type of info you want for places of interest to make their guide
more useful to Packs.
