Another way to look at things might be, is this person able to help my child
grow up and be the person I want them to be, or the best person they can be.
I am not sure I would want kids to be like me, however, I am sure I have
helped a lot of kids.

When selecting a leader, the best rule is to ask yourself, "Is this the
sort of person I want my son to grow up and be like?" If you can't say yes
to this question, you don't want this person as a leader - whether you need
help or not. A leader must be a good role model. Neither of these people,
particularly the disheveled one with alcohol on his breath sound like role
models to me.
