Basic copyright (as it applies to music) should apply to books and
printed material. If the book was copyrighted (sp) in 1930 it had an
initial term of 28 years, taking it to 1958. A renewal would give it
an additional 28 years, to 1986. Since it was still under protection
in 1978 an additional 15 years to 2001 probably applies.
Notwithstanding copyright, if you were to write the publisher and
ask permission to post on a non-profit basis, most would probably
say ok. If you need any more info, please write.
