Front Page Scouter

I sent the following note last night and I forgot to give the story line.
The paper apparently runs a periodic article on someone that "Makes a
Difference". this story was about Scoutmaster Bob Spreng of Troop 17 in
West Knox County and the time he spends so that 20 young men can have the
experience of Boy Scouting at its best.
I was in the Smokey Mountains this past week and saw something that I have
never seen before. Thursday's Knoxille paper had a picture of a
Scoutmaster and some of his boys in uniform on the front page with a nice
story. I couldn't believe it.
I brought it home with me to show my Scout Exec that at least one local
newspaper can put a good story about Scouting on the front page.
I hope he shows it to our council publicity chairman and he in turn takes
it to the local newspapers to show them what can be done.
