I had heard here that a woolen version of the Gilwell scarf was available
from the Resource Centre (it's English, so I'll use their spelling) at
Gilwell Park. I wrote a letter to The Resource Centre, Gilwell Park,
Chingford, London, E4 7QW, asking for the woolen scarf and a woggle. It
took 3 weeks, but I got them today. I sent the letter as an Air Mail, U.S.
First Class ($0.60 U.S.). It would appear that the mailing took one week
each way, with a 3rd week at the Resource Centre. The cost was 12.69
English pounds (= about $21.20 U.S.), including shipping. I had enclosed my
Visa Card number and expiry date in the letter.
The woolen scarf is reputedly larger than the cotton one commonly awarded in
the U.S. I'll let you all know later. I am leaving the scarf and woggle in
the plastic bags they came in; I'm not going to touch them until they're
presented to me.
