The first thing you need to do is to determine how and where your daughter
will be using the pack. If she is just carrying overnight clothes, that is
one thing. If she is carrying clothes, tent, sleeping bag, food, stoves etc.
it is another. Then go to a good outdoor sport store and ask someone to "fit"
the pack frame to your daughter. If the salesperson has no idea of what you
are talking about, go somewhere else. Pack frames need to be fitted at the
waist, torso and shoulder width. They should also be adjutable to allow you
to change the frame settings as your daughter grows.
