Here's the information on the Tiger Cub Scout strip. There are currently
two strips out there that may be worn by Tiger Cub graduates:
A 1/2 by 3/1/2 inch strip in orange and black, the Tiger Cub colors, with
the wording "TIGER CUB GRADUATE" which were given to local Councils that
participated in the BSA's field testing of the improvements to the Tiger Cub
program over the past four years.
A 1/2 by 2 inch strip in orange and black, the Tiger Cub colors, with the
wording "TIGER CUB BSA" which is the current strip (BSA #00095).
Several local Councils created special Tiger Cub graduate/participant stips
and patches to be worn on the uniform. National has been trying to
standarize the strips and patches and the result is the single strip which
goes on the bottom edge of the right pocket of the Cub Scout (or below the
Recruiter strip if one has been earned by a Cub Scout).
Adults do NOT wear the strip. It is a youth recognition only, and does not
transfer over to the Boy Scout uniform.
38 local Councils participated in the field testing of the Tiger Cub program.
Hope this all helps out!
