I am trying not to flame here so please take this as just a
conversational reply : )
When Tigers complete the 1st grade they are no longer Tigers!
We are trying spring recruiting in our district this year but it is not
going over well.
I am very tired by the end of April or the Scout Show (which ever is
later). I know my Den Leaders are just as tired. We are all
volunteers. I try to reward them with a couple of weeks off and then a
planing party at my house for them and their families. A planing
picnic. By the end of July we are ready to go again.
We still have a summer program but you have to consider the fact that
not every body sleeps in their uniform like we do.
I am considering talking to some retirement groups for manpower
support. Has anyone else had any experience in this area?
