I'm resubmitting this because I'm under the impression that the original
message may not have been properly sent. It hit about the same time as
the news from National on reorganization.
Our Campmaster Corp is reexamining our program after just a year of
implementation. It has been an interesting group of experiences ranging
from "near-perfect weekends" to "near-disaster situations".
We have been mulling around the idea of requiring every unit to provide
the campmaster on duty with a Complete Roster of ALL campers at camp.
Some of our Campmasters feel that we should only need the total numbers
of adults and youth; others feel that a more complete list, including
emergency phone number, unit position, etc. should be provided. The unit
leader would have the option of preparing the list before coming to the
council's camp or making the list upon arrival.
What are your councils' policies on registration of all units' personnel
and their vehicles on council camping property? Does such registration
differ for day visit and weekend or overnight camping?
