Who says a Scout really wants to be differentiated from any other High
I'm a Junior in High School and I am for the most part :) like any other
high school student. Scouts has just helped me develop certain skills
but in everyday life, Scouts only steps in when it is necessary. As for
the Pioneering comment, I haven't taken Pioneering but I have taken
Basket Weaving. Would Pioneering help me more than Basketry, yes
probably, but the purpose of a Merit Badge is for the Scout to learn a
skill, and the system allows the Scouts to pick his merit badges. Even
though you may feel that certain Merit Badges are way more important than
others, that's your opinion, and nothing more.
