Well we did it!
Last night at our Pack committee meeting, I had been asked to bring
up an idea that a few of the leaders who are also involved with Boy
Scouts had been discussing. A little history first, the Pack is a
money making machine, we lovingly call it our "Cash Cow" and any
given time it has over $5000 in the bank, enough history!
The idea is, that when a boy moves to the troop (same charter org.)
the the Pack will give the Troop $100. This is to buy new equipment
for the new boys and the troop, plus the boys who are coming over
are the ones who earned the money in the first place by doing
fundraisers. Well we thought it sounded great.
And you know what, so did the Pack Committee. They passed it and
about $1100 will also cross over next week.
Note: If the boys go to another troop no money changes over. Also the
boys do not know about the money.
