I'll jump in and offer my 2 cents worth....
I solicited a definition, from this wise list, to =93whizzed=94 coins a f=
months ago for my son who was earning his Coin Collecting MB. Our troop d=
not have a copy of the MB book so Ricky was trying to earn the badge with
just the written requirements, no background and supplemental information.
Ricky had several books from the public library but none defined "whizzed=
And the only references on the 'Net to whizzed coins were through MB page=
listing the requirements, not defining.
Most of the responses from you fellow Scouters strongly urged him to buy
the book and read it. I felt the pressure, and we did, in fact, order tha=
book and several others Ricky was interested in.
Well, I showed Ricky the books and told him your advice. It took several
nights (because he stops reading so often to run downstairs and share all
the really neat facts he's learned about - he's a great kid) but he final=
finished. The MB book filled in all the loose ends for him.
I recommend all Scouts read the MB book. I think I will insist on it in m=
house (you see, I'm the Mom, not the MB counselor - I CAN require more of
the boy than what's written in the book **hehe**).
