Tim - We do not have fathers sleeping with sons. First of all, the older
boys don't want to be within 50 yards of the"old man" unless it's to tap
into Dad's wallet for some money. I know this from personal experience
with my son, our 15 year old ASPL :-)
As for the younger Scouts, we look upon this as an opportunity to mature
and interact with the other Scouts, without having an Adult present in
the tent at all times. The younger Scouts also seem to prefer to be in
tents with other Scouts and away from Dad for a while.
